Compliance Officer

Responsibilities

  • Lead our merchant onboarding process

  • Mastermind compliance policies and protocols on behalf of the organization

  • Develop and implement a compliance program to ensure the organization operates in accordance with state and federal laws

  • Determine compliance metrics and establish a system for tracking them

  • Remain up to date on federal and state laws related to the organization and update policies accordingly

  • Perform compliance audits to determine whether establish protocols are being followed and where they can be improved

  • Maintain up to date written documentation and policies related to the organization's business activities

  • Create a compliance resource library for staff members to reference when they have questions

  • Train the WAAVE Team to ensure we are always informed and up to date of regulations changes

Qualifications for Compliance Officer

  • 3+ years prior experience in risk management or compliance roles

  • Must have, or be willing to obtain a compliance certification

  • Comfortable working in a startup environment but able to maintain a corporate mentality.

  • Superior attention to detail in order to identify and correct risky practices

  • Must be a strong communicator 

  • Team player comfortable working with minimal supervision

  • Exemplify strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies

  • Strong time management and organizational skills and able to meet deadlines

  • Should have a strong moral code and sense of ethics

  • Familiarity with the leading scanning tools in the industry 

  • Willingness to expand your knowledge on industry-specific rules and regulations beyond AML / KYC

Operations Associate

Responsibilities for Operations Associate

  • Complete clerical and administrative tasks to assist onboarding of new clients

  • Make recommendations for business performance improvement

  • Assist managers in daily tasks

  • Cooperate with different departments to improve business operations

  • Provide support to existing clients

  • Provide support to users

  • Assist with multiple tasks across departments.

Qualifications for Operations Associate

  • Bachelor's degree 

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a professional business environment

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong business acumen

  • High attention to detail

  • Proficient in technology especially Google Suite 

  • Excel proficiency is a must

  • Proactive qualities with the willingness to learn

  • Ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision

  • Must be able to work long hours seated and in front of a computer

Product Manager

(Portland, OR / Remote)

 We are looking for an experienced and talented Product Manager to join and help us shape our product. You’ll be a part of an energetic, fast-paced team and work closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales to map the direction of the product and roll-out features that drive growth goals.

We are looking for someone who can work across the entire product development cycle – customer research, UX discovery, hypothesis definition, wireframing, sprint planning, project management, and product marketing.

  • 3+ years of experience in software product management

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

  • A proven track record of working with designers, engineers, and various stakeholders to coordinate, plan, execute, and track product releases from beginning to end.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding project and time management skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box and roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done

  • You don’t need to be a senior software engineer, but a technical background is a plus

  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies is also a plus.
